Want to add a Trem to your dream guitar design? GREAT!
I've just added the drawings to the Design Your Own Guitar course.
Take a look and let me know if you have any Q's ? ...
Measure twice, cut once...
This is great Mark, thanks.
It isn’t essential but when routing out the top route, instead of routing the whole cavity, how could I do the “bear claw” route? How would I go about doing this?
Here is a picture of an Ibanez JEM of mine, even though it has an Edge Trem instead of a Floyd (the route will be a little different), you can see the “bear claw” route.

I would do that by routing first and then finishing by hand with a chisel (*edit: Gouge) - without serious machine like CNC I'm not sure how else it could be achieved.
Maybe someone else can chime in?
Measure twice, cut once...
Yes I thought these would get knocked out on a CNC machine and I couldn’t think of a way to do it with a router. It’s not the end of the world, I would probably just route the whole cavity, certainly for my first attempt anyway.

Hi Edwin
Hi Mark, are the drawings also in Udemy?
Sorry - I'm afraid not - To get the new stuff you'll have to be a premium member...
FYI There is going to be A LOT of new stuff - it will be well worth it.
Measure twice, cut once...
Something to consider....... ? ?
Measure once, cut straight away and maybe you're lucky......
