Upper transverse graft

Hi mark. Quick question. Whilst marking out and cutting the braces I note that the upper transverse graft is if a different wood than the one you are demonstrating with in the video. I take it that this is ok. Also I have another smaller piece of the same wood that I can’t seem to identify. Please see pic. Thsnks

Yes - All good... the braces are Spruce....the thin pieces are Sitka Spruce. As you correctly identified, one is for the UTGRFT, the other is to make 'Center Seam Reinforcement Diamonds'.
