Body blank thickness is 46mm - confirmed - thanks guys!

FYI:

46mm is the minimum thickness required for a normal sized tremolo system. It needs to be at least this thick to accomodate the trem block and a coverplate - smaller trem blocks are available but hard to find.

If you are not having a trem then you can make the body thinner - I would suggest 38mm minimum.

Also if you are having P90's they require a deeper hole - I would recommend sticking with the recommended 46mm.

Wood:

I recommend mahogany for the body because it is easy to work and sounds great - but there are many options: alder is also perfect.

Measure twice, cut once...
