Unfortunately, Dremel doesn’t officially make an adapter for that, and the thread sizes on the 225 flex shaft and the tool itself are different, so they’re not a direct fit. Some people have had luck DIY-ing a workaround with thread adapters or spacers, but there’s no off-the-shelf solution I’m aware of. Might be worth checking with Elmer or StewMac support to see if they have any recommendations.

@somethingnicer yeh just something I noticed with mine but mine isn't an actual dremmel so was wondering if yours was because that would make it a bit crap for routering. Last thing you'd need is the bit wobbling about.

@somethingnicer no I mean the chuck in the extension, it's not as stable as the chuck in the actual tool. Like it has a bit of play compared to the chuck in the actual tool which is fairly rigid.

@nsj well that’s kind of my point I think. The extension isn’t stable in the base because the nose threads don’t fit.

@SomethingNicer is the extension as stable as the actual dremmel? Like in my other brand tool the extension where you insert the bits has a tiny bit of play whereas the actual chuck of the tool is solid.

I can't say that I've ever come across an adapter @somethingnicer but that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. I've always found that having the Dremel itself attached gives a nice balance but I can understand that there might be some instances where the flex cable would be useful. Let us know if you ever find the solution.

Is there a nose thread adapter for the dremel 225 and the precision router base from stewmac/elmer?

I have the Elmer precision router base (https://elmerguitar.com/.../products/elmer-router-base). As far as i can tell it's identical to the stewmac version. My dremel 3000 fits perfect in there, but i was hoping to use the dremel 225 extender cable (https://www.dremel.com/us/en/p/225-02-26150225aj...) with it. Well the nose threads in the tool itself are much larger than the nose threads in the 225 cable so it wont seat well with it.

To me it seems like someone would make an adapter or something to make that fit. Does anyone here know about that at all? Thanks in advance!
