@tv101 Yup that too. I got 5 of them. One for thicknessing, with a big baseplate permanantly attached. A small palm for binding. A big one for excessive material removal, I do a lot chambering hollow bodies, my all time favorite Makita for daily grind and one on a router table which I am too terified to use.

No more switching blades.

I know Mark has enough routers so he never needs to change the bits ... but having enough bandsaws that you never need to change blades ... that’s a bit special!

Never used a router before starting my first build (so no idea how it compares to others) but this Erbauer has been pretty good value for money so far.

The only niggle I've come across is that the plunge depth is a few mm short of desired occasionally.

Got another bandsaw from a garage sale. Works perfectly fine. A starbucks ice blended drink costs more than what I paid for. No more switching blades. It could be such a drag to do so.

They may appear a bit long in the tooth but if you can find one in good condition, and they do come up regularly, then Elu are quite possibly the best routers ever made. Prior to being bought out by Black and Decker the original Swiss made machines had huge and very high grade bearings and are probably only trumped on quality these days by Festool (£500+!!)

The little MOF96 (with an E for the speed control model) is a beautifully balanced little tool and I still have one originally bought 35 years ago. The DeWalt machines based on the larger Elu models (MOF177) are also pretty good but the first thing B&D did was to cut the cost of those fantastic bearings by making them smaller! Idiots!

I just grabbed another Bosch cordless drill in Amazon’s prime deals. They do the same unit every year (I’ve got 3 of them now!), this year it went from £85 to £55.

Worth checking if they’ve got any decent routers ahead of Black Friday week deals, and waiting. Just don’t get conned by something reduced by £30 that had gone up £50 the week before ...

That one was new (other) - a few second hand at the moment - I have two of them that were £30-40 and are fine - usual thing, set your limit and wait for one at or under that.........
