You can tell that's Aldi.

A proper woodworking tool supplier wouldn't use joints like that in the storage box!

😆

So, sorry, Aldi, it seems I’ve wronged you. Also clearly I was wrong when someone queried if my drill bits were true. They’re not, in fact almost all of them are terrible. I got new ones with some router bits from Wealdon Tools and and used these and a stepper bit to make holes for an extended router base plate. All holes drilled with the cheap Aldi pillar drill I slated so badly. They’re not perfect but they’re very close to spot on, see pic below. Should I suppose point out that most of the bad bits were from Aldi so this is by no means a complete reprieve.

@boo looks like a nice buy to me, if I was looking for a smallish bandsaw for a home workshop I'd be seriously considering it.

Record are a pretty decent make by most accounts (my bench grinder certainly seems fine) and Yandles a pretty decent store.

240mm throat depth should be plenty.

You're not going to be resawing bookmatched tops, but 120mm depth of cut should be enough for angled headstocks if you'd rather kill trees than do scarf joints.
