Hi Julio, There are many woods that can be used for the back and sides of the guitar such as India rosewood, mahogany, walnut, maple any many others but the most common wood for soundboards is Sitka spruce or Cedar. Necks tend to be mahogany, cedar and maple. 

Although the choice of wood can effect the tone, the type of bracing and the way you carve it will also have a big effect on the tone.
