Here's a great tip from my friend Andy Lines ( https://linesguitars.uk).

I've used this several times now and it saves so much frustration.

Does your (maybe cheap or old) masking tape refuse to come off the roll without tearing and splitting?

Bung it in the microwave for 20secs and it instantly behaves so much better.

You're welcome 😉

(You may already know this and now you think I'm an idiot.)

More Masking Tape Magic!

A simple trick that could save a lot of heartache... - Sometimes when you remove masking tape from wood it can lift some of the grain, damaging the surface. This is especially annoying if the surface has already been sanded. Here is how to avoid

TIP: De-Tack Masking Tape

HOW? by sticking it to your T shirt (or something similar) before peeling it off to use it thusly:

Mask the Bridge

I use it a lot for masking up areas that I don't want to get finish on like this

MORE MASKING TAPE MAGIC PLEASE!

Lets have YOUR favourite masking tape tip!?

However Idiotic - lets get it all out there!

Oh wow, like, how exciting are we? It's masking tape...

Measure twice, cut once...

My masking tape tip is the superglue and masking tape trick. I use it for all kinds of things instead of using double sided tape, it really does work well.

This is a video of Ben Crow explaining it.
