"Stupid boy Pike!"
But this might end up as such...
Using this discarded 24.25" neck, threaded steel for a bridge and tacks in the end to secure the strings.
Thinking of manipulating the oblong "mahogany" in the manner of Ben Crowe's BoB1

I love the Theorbo Mark, are you going to make one?
I wouldn’t mind making a normal sized lute one day in the distant future when my skills have developed. Is that something you could teach Mark?
Herb, although I appreciate the skill and courage to make BoB1, I am not keen on the look of it, it’s not to my taste. I wish you luck if you are attempting something similar, it’s an interesting build.
Make guitars, not war 🌍✌️🎸
yep - I'm not sure of the look either but this won't be a serious project...
Off to make a racket in Swindon now...

er...No.
No and Yes.
🙂
Measure twice, cut once...
Well, I got round to this and I learnt a lot BUT... it's a fail.
The neck, from a nylon string beginner's guitar found in the woods, just can't take even 2 steel strings. Project abandoned. I may re-visit and make another neck at some stage.
Life's good!
Thanks for sharing your 'fail'
shame to waste it...
What about nylon strings with a piezo pickup?
(on the brighter side it looks like it will burn very well 🙂 )
