<p>yeah the longer scales for bass where for a couple of guys who play 6 string bass And djent and tune right down.. Unfortunately it never same to light and I never go to make one to see how they would sound. I think he got the idea of this:</p>

A 36" is hardly ever used, some custom builders use a 36" scale for 6 string basses. The purpose of a 35" scale on 5 or 6 string basses is to have a tight low B-string, which usually has a .135 gauge. But that's of course a bass and not a baritone guitar. If I remember correctly the baritone guitar Mark made for Preston Reed is about 28".</p>
