This project started off as a bit of a joke to see how cheaply I could make an electric guitar but it’s actually turned out well.
The body is made from reclaimed pallets and I cheated with the neck and bought a cheap Chinese neck from eBay, which is pretty good quality. I had fun using various wood stains and finished it in oil. It’s got some classic style Iron Gear Rolling Mill (overwound) pickups with chrome covers and rings. I used a Wilkinson hardtail bridge with brass compensated saddles, a 3-way toggle switch, 1 Volume CTS potentiometer and Fender locking tuners.
It sounds great for they Classic Rock sound!
Maybe I’ll do a short video!

Nice work !
Goes to show that you don't have to spend a fortune on wood to have excatly the same amount of fun ?
Where did you get the offset heel plate? Maybe you could have carved the heel of the neck to match?
Thank you very much.
Yeah it was good fun to make it out of pallet wood and I did think of carving the neck heal but I got too excited and just wanted to build it and play it. I will probably take the neck off and carve it at some point but for now I’m enjoying playing it. ?
The neck plate I got from All Parts, they do some good stuff.

I’ve just discovered Northwest Guitars have started selling them in different colours too; chrome, black, gold and nickel.
