It’s better but certainly not enough to justify the cost. It’s be interesting to test it against another cheaper one with the same resistance as it’s a more windings that the stock Ibanez one so it’s not really a fair comparison.

@tv101 Yep, that’s why I do it, not just for myself but for everyone else, present and future guitar builders. We are creating a big guitar building database really, that’s how I see it, so I try to structure all my uploads as much as possible for human-readability. It’s too chaotic for humans to search through ad hoc, random uploads, it is unnormalised data. I try to normalise the data I input so everyone else can make sense of it much easier (I hope). 😆

And that's a good way of keeping a record that you can check back to in later builds.

Many times I've reached the stage of doing something on a build, and thought to myself "how did I do that bit on XYZ build?". I've got loads of pics on my PC of the various builds, but the discipline of posting regular progress pics on a public forum means that I tend to take more pics, and more detailed pics, particularly of the tricky/interesting bits.

Then, when I look back, odds are that I'll find the stage that I'm looking for.

@cheesewhisk You still can, I use this "Showcase" section to log everything for each build in its own respective thread. Start a thread and put your pictures and comments in every time you do something new. You could go and delete all of those threads and put it all into one. Start a new thread every time you start building a new guitar. 👍
