I've put the finishing touches to the limba build, with just the two mahogany ones to go.

After days of mirk we actually had some sun, so I popped out and took a few shots.

This one is finished with an ABM aluminium and brass bridge, a set of Sunbear 59 pafs (wired with a partial coil split) and a shiny bone nut.

I've got a buyer for this one and I'm pretty chuffed how is turned out.

I found that foam brushes were overall easier to use than a paint brush as it was such a pain getting the brush clean enough to give a decent finish for the next coat. Unfortunately, the lacquer breaks down the foam, so they're only usable for a few coats.

Spraying isn't really an option for me and I reckon this is the best option that gives a hard finish for those without the ability to spray. I'm happy to be advised otherwise!

It couldn't be more simple and I think easier then learning to spray. That said there are a few pin pricks from bubbles and it's not 100% flat. I still reckon spraying gives the best results.
