    Acoustic Guitar kit and lessons

    The kit was superb quality.
The 222 tutorials were also superb. The attention to detail and Mark’s sense of fun made the whole experience worth every penny. I have a beautiful sounding and looking guitar. I can now get rid of the old Yamaha.
Thanks Mark for a great couple of months.

    Acoustic guitar kit

Just received the kit and wow…it all looks great, rosewood back and sides are stunning and I love the ebony fretboard and bridge blank. There are a lot of pieces but hopefully Mark will simplify the process in his usual calm manner. Having finished an electric guitar under his expert tuition on the online course and honed my skills further on one of his workshop courses I am confident my first acoustic build will be successful and will look stunning with all the quality parts and wood supplied with this kit. The best thing is that all the parts are here so no need to source at different places and incur multiple postage costs. They even threw in a router bit for the truss rod slot which I wasn’t expecting. Top guys at Bailey’s…

I’d be very interested to know how you got on with the build…and of course an opportunity to hear you finished guitar would be great! Regards. Marc sinclair

    Navigating the minefield

I have made some electric guitars under Mark’s tutelage. Loved the process, love in the instruments.
The construction of an acoustic guitar felt more like witchcraft. So many unfamiliar or unknown bits and pieces go into that magic box that somehow sings its own song. So many choices, so many variables and each one will directly effect the voice of the instrument. Where do you begin?
I decided the simplest way to tiptoe through this minefield was to order The Kit from Mark. That way I should get materials and components that work together selected by The Wizard himself.
If I’m honest it took slightly longer to arrive than I expected but it was early days and Mark PC had a major failure and he was still gearing up and sorting out the logistics.
When The Kit duly arrived I was really impressed. All the components were high quality – some gorgeous wood, especially the rosewood back and sides.
It’s dangerous to write this review before the guitar is constructed but it seems to me that just about everything needed is there. Since The Kit’s arrival Mark has already sent a few extras free of charge which is typical of the man.
    Highly recommended as always.
I look forward to writing a review of the construction process and the final instrument later on this year.
