The zipped, full-body suit featuring Maui’s body art, padded muscles, grass skirt and shark-tooth necklace was sold online for about $220 and also included a plastic thong to wear under the dress. It was criticized as cultural misappropriation and compared to blackface, prompting Disney to withdraw the costume and apologize for any offense.
