Hi Bill, The wall mounting option was my first thought also. Instead of the welded steel I was thinking of a birch plywood structure, which would still be plenty strong enough for mounting the bearing...

Routed the body shape now, the temporary neck socket filler worked a treat. Just a couple of little dinks into side as I was routing round the horns, but they sanded out easily and there's another one...

@boo Just do the same thing on the opposite end so it matches and call it done! 😜

I guess if you could get the fretboard off you might be able to add a chunk of wood onto the neck and then re-carve but it might take as long as starting again hopefully reusing the fret board.......
