@poco7 Mark uses Titebond original the yellow one. I don’t use it though I prefer water based hot glue for anything that I might want to take off for any reason.

I'd say do it anyway. Having just completed the build - the results are unspeakably good. And somehow the anticipation of the gap makes it better.
