@tv1010101 I'll give it a go and time will tell. It'll be a couple of weeks before I can go to collect the mahogany, I should be ready to start the neck by that time.

Can I glue a bit on to thicken it at the heel for a set neck I'm pretty sure that I've seen commercial builds done exactly like that, so I don't see why it would be a problem.
