Carving the neck is taking time! Almost done the first three facets. I’m using a Japanese saw rasp (Shinto).

This feels like a thread hijack! 🤣 I glued the fretboard to the neck, I think that’s making the neck part 1 finished. Just need to install the truss rod next!!! Joking!

Profiled the neck, the truss rod is in and glue drying on the wooden strip. 🙂

Cut the neck on the bandsaw and glued some ears on this evening.

I made a slow start today (don’t want to rush the job and make a mess). I routed the truss rod channel and surface routed the neck angle. 🙂

Will cut the neck out tomorrow.

The wood arrived today and the neck blank is around 83mm so it isn’t an issue! 🙂

Made the router baseplate, patted myself on the back then realised there’s no hole for the router cutter! Doh! Easily fixed but still funny! 😀

Ordered the kit from this site. I have an exam tomorrow (digital forensics) and then I can start thinking about a plan for building. Can’t say I’m going to miss working with MDF – horrible stuff!!!
