@peebee 40mm isn’t too bad, there are thinner ones out there for sure. What‘s the thickness of the bottom of your neck pocket? 10mm minimum will do and judging from the photos it looks like you have enough surface all…   Read more»

I‘ve seen some other plans for a byo buffer from Highline guitars for example but that one looks sturdy as fook. I‘ll check the link, great job and thanks for posting!
