@robin Good luck. Repairs and restorations are about deceiving the eye, so straight lines don’t always have to be at 90 deg they can be at an angle to match grain lines.

Thanks for the advice @Rocknroller912, I've plenty maple offcuts and it's not really in a conspicuous place so the bigger bit that I cut out will be mostly hidden inside the neck pocket.

@robin Small chip like that are hard to fix, sometime you have to make them bigger to fit a patch. Maple doesn’t usually look good with sawdust and glue, probably need real wood. I would do this bit f...

Hi @tv101, that's probably what ill do, but I haven't got any rosewood to make dust from. I'll fix the maple part today, the chip in the rosewood won't look so big then.
