Sigh…not a major bummer…however, i routed the neck slot joint opening about 3mm too wide…the neck fits 1mm loose on one side and 2mm on the other when centered – i haven’t yet finished carving it [or the pickup route to full depth] out completely so I’m open to suggestion…I know the glue will create some swelling on the mahogany neck and the poplar body…but, i’m wondering if I should glue at least one thin shim on the 2mm side or maybe even sneak a couple of dowels [made from the poplar scrap] under the neck joint [to be hidden by the Finish] to help secure it – or am i just being paranoid over a few mm ? I’ll try to upload some pix…I’m moving along now after my hand surgery recovery.
