The next stage was the making of the X-brace. The measurements for this are a bit long winded but I’ll happily post them if anyone needs them.

Then each brace has a 28 foot radius planed onto the edge that will be glued to the soundboard.

Next, I prepared the braces for the soundboard. For this guitar the braces on the upper bout are 10mm thick and 20mm high. For all the other braces on the soundboard they are 7mm thick and 20mm high….   Read more»

Then cut out the soundboard shape on the bandsaw.

Then plane and sand it flush with the soundboard

Then glue in the rosette.

Cut some strips of laminate for the construction of the rosette. They are 3-4mm wide and about 30-50mm longer than the rosette circumference.

Plane the soundboard down to a smooth and level 3mm thickness.

Making the soundboard next. Two pieces of rough sawn bookmatched spruce. Plane along the bookmatched edges then glue them together.
