Yup, I imagine there would have been some interesting features in that tree. But, we’d just moved in, knew no-one in the area, and just needed the tree gone before any more bits of it fell on things ...

We had a large (diseased) Ash tree cut down a few years ago. Rather sillily, I didn’t keep any of it for guitar wood 🙁 “here’s a guitar I made, from a tree I grew!”
