Routed the neck pocket today but not quite to full depth. Then I went to see how the neck would fit. That’s when I was hit with a little disappointment. The neck heel sits loose in the pocket.

Also, if you watch closely, you might catch a slight mechanical mishap with a piece of equipment (which I forgot to edit out. oops)

To clarify, I bought (from StewMac) medium/high fret wire as opposed to medium/medium. This means that not only is the crown higher but also the tang is longer.
