Made my kerf linings now, I think the the flat sawn strips are more flexible than the quarter sawn I used when making my jig. Dry clamped the trickier side of the front, looking okay.

@rathius Or, a simpler solution. Move the springs to the inside of the legs of the bracket, under the pickup. That would allow for two simple drilled holes for the springs and more thickness under the tabs of the bracket.

@rathius Since the margins are small, maybe you could shorten the springs a little? I would try to calculate the required pickup height over the body and go from there to derive the depths, taking into account the string line… Read more»

Well I usually set the pickups about an 1/8” below the strings when pressed down at the last fret (22/24). The main concern is how deep to route the ear holes. Cavity itself can be 18-20mm I suppose but like… Read more»
