@boo

I’ve not seen icicles like that for a long time. Wow! Good old Scotland eh. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Some people call me a tool, others are less complimentary. Tools being useful things.

Think twice move once

@rocknroller912 Thought about it many many times and I’m more determined than ever to move to Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 So long as I have a warm home and workshop as well as a log burner, I’ll be fine. I’m an introvert so not very sociable, I keep myself to myself. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

One of those icicles crashed down onto our doorstep this afternoon. Are you sure you want to move to Scotland, it's not been above freezing all day today and there's about 8" of snow where I am.

@robin Sounds exciting, I’ll be there soon enough. I love the cold weather, especially snow and ice. So long as I have a warm home with log burner, I’ll be happy in Scotland. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It’s always warm & sunny in Blackpool, @boo.

Thats why people can walk the streets all-but naked.

(Or, is that “all butt naked”??)

@tv101 🤣 Yeah, not really. 🤣

It is cold here in the Blackpool area but not that cold that we have icicles unfortunately. It’s always a bit warmer on the coast so we don’t get a lot of snow and ice, some, just not a lot. Scotland will rectify this problem for me. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I don't have any exposed corners on my bench due to it being built in with shelves. So I've bolted a beam where my big engineering vice used to be, perfect for clamping to.

Nice workspace extension @Robin ... won't be long, and you'll have "re-purposed" the whole garage ...

There's plans for change if lockdown is going to continue and I can't get back to my west coast workshop soon. I've got a 6'x4' hut in my small back garden that full of assorted stuff. Once my garage roof has been refelted, hopefully this month if we get a couple of consecutive dry days, that stuff gets shifted into the garage or the bin. That'll get me a dedicated 6'x4' workshop that can have electricity and heating on demand. Until I get a bigger hut organised, then the little hut becomes timber to make a workbench and shelves.
