@boo & I have just trial-run something that might be of interest to others ...
It's intended to be an addition to the forum here, and to Mark's livestream events, to give us another platform where we can (virtually) meet, chat, discuss all aspects of guitar making (and whatever else crops up!).
The original idea was to be able to continue the discussions that emerge from the livestreams, but in a more immediate way. Forum threads are great, but they can have a bit of time delay between someone posting something and then someone else replying.
Great platform for "show and tell", or "show and ask" re any aspect of guitar building, modding, designing, finishing, anything really!
It (Jitsi) is a simple online video/chat facility - like Zoom/Teams/etal. No cost involved. Works on any device - phone, tablet, PCs, Macs - either in a browser window or via a (free) dedicated app.
We'll have to work out the best time to run them. The chat room - guitarmakingcouk - can be used anytime, but it obviously helps if there's someone else there at the same time, otherwise the chat is a bit quiet.

Yeah, it’s exactly like Zoom, Skype, Teams etc and free. Tony and I trialed it today and it worked well. With a lot of people having hand held devices in this modern age, it’s easy to pick a phone or a tablet up, point the camera lens and contact any one of us to ask live questions about guitar building etc.
It’s just one way of getting real-time, live audio/visual communication within our guitar building community if and when any of us feel we need help or discussion.
Obviously this forum is the main platform for comments, feedback, pictures, videos etc but the Jitsi is there to provide the next level.
As @tv101 has said, the name of the Jitsi chatroom is - guitarmakingcouk
If anyone is interested, we should arrange a time. Just ask anyone at any time.
Make guitars, not war 🌍✌️🎸
It worked well @mattbeels (I think - @boo?).

It worked well
@mattbeels @tv101 Yeah it did work well. It was just the two of us on the test but we could do with trying three or four people at a time, see how that works out.
