Is it possible to do a decorative carve and fill with epoxy then reshape? You'd have to stop anything bleeding into channel. Could be a very cool inlay

I'm feeling your pain there. It looks like you haven't actually carved as deep as the truss rod, so how about just filling in the hole.

Typo... I surface route the bottom part of the mini so the top of the cap is undisturbed to line up to the grain pattern

Wowza! What is that? How thick is it? Can you book match it with the pale as a center strip with ebony center fret dots. Even the 12th double markers all in line centered. Pale binding with black side...
