Wrong info everyone thanks to @robin. You need a 24 inch bass drum not a 12 inch drum to make 12 inch radius blocks.

@robin Wow you are right! Just measured my bass drum where I made my blicks and measured 24 inches. Learned something new.

@clinton borrow his 12 inch tom drum My OCD engineering mind has gone into overdrive now. Isn't a 12" drum going be a 6" radius, rather than the 12" radius you want for your sanding blocks.

@clinton Thanks for the tips! I was able to get it completed last night, with patience and gentle pressure.

Need a long block for sanding it upside down. Short block for sanding regular. Oressure is the name of the game and tons of patience. I find light to mininal pressure works best.

@tv101 That's why I do it! I forgot to mention - I keep telling her that guitar building is a "subtractive" process...
