Made some patterns on the laser cutter. I’m using fairly thin MDF hardboard, My plan is to use the router table rather than handheld so I believe the thin template shouldn’t pose a problem. I’m not showing all here but… Read more»

I agree! Fortunately someone else at the space, more competent than myself, made that jig. Made my life easy. The digital angle ruler really helped too!

Used a taper jig with the tablesaw for the first time. I think the headstock angle jig came out pretty good but we’ll see when we actually use it

Yes – I believe it’s the same “build an electric guitar” course as what’s available here.

I finally found it on Udemy! It’s in the section on gluing the body blanks! Take the new razor blade and scrape it on a sharpening stone. It creates a burr which helps with scraping!

I recall @mark providing a tip for how to make a disposable razor into an awesome scraper/planer and I can’t find it again on udemy. Can anyone either point me to the session or just share how it’s done?
Thanks!

@nsj Very cool – and a great way to use all of your wood. I’m hoping to start finding old free tables to upcycle into guitars after I get a little more experience under my belt.

@nsj does that go over the headstock as a laminate or is the actual headstock? did you make a scarf joint for it?

@brie are the links you are referring to on this site? I’ll have to go back and see if I can find them in udemy. I wasn’t successful in my first try.
Thanks so much for those specs

I’ve gone back now and if my math is correct it’s about 9 deg. Is it OK to be a range? Say 9-11? Perhaps my math is also off
