@nsj beech? I thought it would be quite heavy, thanks for confirming. 
It’s possibly a sacrilegious thing to say, but I’m not a big fan of the look of spalted wood. So thinlines or heavily chambered it is!

Hey Brian, Preamps can fall, but perhaps see if you can bypass the output from it to see if the output jack has failed or needs cleaning.  I have a jack socket with two crocodile clips wired to it too…   Read more»
