That looks awesome Boo. @julian Thank you! I can’t wait to use these paints on a full guitar spray job, I have several pearl colours.

RE: Pickup covers

Yes, the primer is key. I turned a black P-90 cover to cream color and sealed it with lacquer. @clinton Excellent, what paint products did you use?

RE: Pickup covers

Step-by-step, looks straightforward enough. @tv101 Maybe we should have a finishing course that goes into more detail. 🤣

RE: Pickup covers

Sand the primer back with 600 grade paper and then apply colour. I used two colours for this job so the first one was white pearl. Attachment : E0AA41F7-1580-44FD-BF27-856C65CF64D3.jpeg

RE: Pickup covers

We need a finishing course that covers (pun intended) stuff like this too. 😆

I use 1k and 2k products @boo Yup. I got that far, and realised that I was lost already. I’ve got as far as staining and oiling wood. Beyond that, it’s all black magic.

Pickup covers

Has anyone else tried painting pickup covers? I had a little fun with some pearl paints on a few pickup covers in the style of EVH. Attachment : IMG_20201113_123714.jpg Attachment : IMG_20...
