With osmo I finish the neck first then oil, that’s what I did on the copper tele with oak board. Worked great.

@drewbag Not magnets but I generally do about 5 or 6mm with wood covers. I just screw them down though which helps if they curve a bit. You could try gluing a veneer of wood to say 2mm aluminium. That… Read more»

@brie lasered them, had to drill where the resin is though because it’s blue and my laser is a diode type, but I made templates when practicing with ash. Started with paper till it was spot on, then ash wood.

It’s a fine router, smooth etc. I mainly use it for the truss rod channel. I find the palm routers much easier to handle for everything else. Stick a bigger base on them to make them even more stable. - Load More
