So far the saw is a treat, bloody heavy though! Can you put it on a wheeled stand @peebee? Ikm guessing that you mention the weight because you’re having to move it around. A wheeled stand would make that easier…. Read more»

@peebee
I meant to ask you, how do you like that saw? I‘m in the market for a new one and Record Power seems like a good choice.
How is the quality/stability? Overall impression?
Thanks a lot! -

@peebee
The practicecaster looks really good. I like how you took the belly carve into the top bout.
Any more progress?

Are you actually going to turn this into a guitar?
Get it done, there’s nothing wrong with an old bit of pine. The huge knot in mine is now a feature.

Boo replied to the topic "Starting the process, guitar number 1" – 4 years, 6 months ago
It’s about 4 pieces of scrap pine dug out of the shed glued together.
@peebee Nothing wrong with that. As far as the knot is concerned, you could reinforce it with epoxy.

@peebee Yeah, nice work, very neat. Are you actually going to turn this into a guitar? I think you should.

Had a go at a belly carve today on a scrap wood tele body that I have made as practice. Turned out pretty well, draw two lines, make two facets and join em up…simples. @peebee Excellent! It’s not that difficult… Read more»

@peebee Thanks, yes I like to have the integrity of the ash body stand out with the pink. It shimmers with the open grain and not look like a novelty per say. Ties in with the dyed and lacquered maple… Read more»

Cheers @peebee That was my second Bailey BYOG build. The top is Amazique – which is ridiculously hard, and heavy! But I saw it in the wood store and just was totally seduced by the looks! As I recall, Mark’s… Read more»
