Then cut out the soundboard shape on the bandsaw.

Cut some strips of laminate for the construction of the rosette. They are 3-4mm wide and about 30-50mm longer than the rosette circumference.

Plane the soundboard down to a smooth and level 3mm thickness.

Making the soundboard next. Two pieces of rough sawn bookmatched spruce. Plane along the bookmatched edges then glue them together.

Once the slots were cut I tapered the fretboard using a shooting board and plane. It is 46mm at the nut and 56mm at the 12th fret.
