@tv101 Thanks a lot for that advice, I have tried the screw in bolt ferrules in the past with limited success, going to try the shortened screw in this build and attempt to match the same thread care...

@nsj Have you tried any of the Crimson Guitars oil finishes? I have used them with great success and finished off with Renaissance Wax for a silky smooth finish.

@swepri I think after I have carved the neck and the volute I will add the veneer and try and incorporate it in the volute.
