RE: Robin's build #003 (take 2) @nsj I've got to ask, where did you find these weirdo pots? These were amongst a job lot of harnesses from ebay, somebody clearing out their junk boxes. I've only got myself to blame. |

RE: Neck wood Me too I am wondering this. My guess is that , if wood really wants to warp , it will warp around whatever is in the way. I also wonder if you add carbon rods in a guitar with a trussrod, does the car... |

RE: Robin's build #003 (take 2) @robin I've got to ask, where did you find these weirdo pots? 🤣 I generally stick with alpha and cts for the most part as I can get both in metric which means an 8mm shaft, the metal nobs I... |

RE: Robin's build #003 (take 2) @swepri every pot for guitar I ever see is either china, japan or usa made anyway, can't say I've ever seen a european pot. Seen reference to vintage pots using a C though lol |

RE: Robin's build #003 (take 2) Yeah same here, I never heard about this, but that does not mean it does not exist of course. For guitar I always use LOG anyway, so I order LOG pots specifically. |

RE: Robin's build #003 (take 2) @robin how sure are you? It's how they sound that I notice them. Audio taper sounds gradual, Linear sounds like a switch lol. Every A and B pot I've used has sounded as it should. |

RE: Robin's build #003 (take 2) @swepri never seen that yet, I've used all sorts and every A has been audio taper and every B has been linear. Are you sure about the US Euro thing? |

RE: Robin's build #003 (take 2) @robin As usual there is a US standard and a rest of the world standard with pots. US pots often use A for LOG and european standard use A for LIN instead. You did the right thing - measure the darn t... |

RE: Robin's build #003 (take 2) Well the guitar is all back together again and working. There seemed to be a random earthing problem and some tremendous hum. Eventually switched off the laptop charger, that had me going for a while,... |

RE: I made a thing @tv101 Well, James Bisset Volume 1 didn’t get onto the longlist for Scottish Album of the Year Award, but it did get onto TV’s gizmo. I know which one means most to me. |

RE: My first laminated semi-hollowbody Posted by: @jamesbisset ↑ Position 1 Position 2 Position 3 Position 4 Position 5 I'd go with position 1, I'm more of a traditionalist. |
