Thanks Mark, Now that I've cut out the sound hole I'd struggle to cut a perfectly concentric groove so I'll probably just live with it .......I don't even want a bloody ukelele anyway! 🤣

🤔 If you want to make it look perfect you can route out the offending ring with a slightly wider slot and then inlay something extra wide (2bwb or bwbwb or a wooden strip) or take your own bes...

I think that because the fretboard meets the soundboard around the 12th fret that by the time the fretboard was lengthened to cover the offending article the frets would be just for decoration......mi...
