@robin I only filled in the tremolo cavity to fit a different bridge style which covered the repair, didn’t touch the pick up cavities.

I do agree @TV101 but the guitar also has there own unique tone..certain players use the same type of guitar for that reason. Tele’s are twangy etc...

@deej my centerblock is flat but hollowed out in the core in certain areas. The guitar is really light. Both carve top and carve back is also carved internally.
