Isn’t that a great feeling?  Making something so tactile and comfortable feeling?

Cheers @koendb

@mattbeels I kept carving into and thinking, well something else I suck at.

@tv101 this is the bit I've really been looking forward to and it really paid off, I'm stupidly proud of it already, such a great feeling for sure.

@cheesewhisk Looking good. My favourite bit of neck carving is the volute.

Make guitars, not war 🌍✌️🎸

Any advice on the volute?

I'd really watch how Mark does it.

I've never managed to carve one as good as the ones I did in his workshop.

@cheesewhisk

Any advice on the volute?

As @TV101 says, watch how Mark does it, pay attention to where he carves the facets and where the bump should be relative to the nut, copy that and the volute just appears.
