Don't just sit there, buy some wood and get going. i loved every minute of my project. Mind you, patience is required. If you want to see fingerstyle archtop, look at Martin Taylor on you tube.

I had a quick play with it today and I think it’s about .35mm out each side. I had ago at veneers off the bandsaw and without trying too hard got a couple at .58mm. So should be able to glue something...
