Then I made the end graft from a cut off from the neck blank and two pieces of ebony veneer.

A wee bit of work on the end graft. Once it was marked out I gouged out the channel using chisels and “Grannies Tooth”

I made some templates/patterns today, for hollowing out the wings.

…so today, using a bobbin sander, I rounded off the piece behind the nut to the headstock.

With a 12 inch radius block I sanded the radius on the fretboard.

@koendb Right, quick run down.  You should buy the compressor with biggest tank you can afford and with the highest CFM (cubic feet per minute) rating. Also, stay clear of HVLP spray guns if you are buying a smaller, cheaper…   Read more»
