Thanks @tv101! A slow and steady process by hand. 
I think having z-poxy as a sealer helped stabilise the top and heeled the crispness of the line.

That’s a *very* nice, crisp, line there, looks very good.

I was going to suggest some decent nails, but your approach seems to have worked just as well!
