I have now used 3 Freeway pickup selectors switches, they make two types of switch, one that looks like a Gibson style three way and one that looks like a 5 way Strat switch - the difference is that the Gibson one has two sets of three positions and the Strat one has two sets of five positions.
The one in my Bandsman give normal humbuckers in the lower set of three and combinations of the inner bobbins (so single coil) in the upper three.
The other two are very similar except the upper forward position gives both humbuckers in series out of phase which is very distinctive.
Freeway supply loads of wiring diagrams.
The Strat switch can do the Super-Strat SSH switching giving the 5 normal Strat single coil combinations from one set and humbuckers and bridge and neck and all three pickups.
The 6 position one is £25-30 and the 10 position is £30-35.

Having wired guitars with a selector switch and a push/pull switch or two it’s quite nice to have all the options on on control and they can be fitted as a replacement for an existing switch - that’s what I did to my SG from my first visit to Baileys recently.
