I’d say 60s or (very) early 70s.

There were a multitude of similar things produced in that era, under various different brands, mostly cheap and not hugely well made.

It was really the period in which the Japanese learned how to mass manufacture the quality guitars that started to appear from the mid 70s onwards - Yamaha, Ibanez, Washburn et al.

Often seen on eBay with descriptions of “rare” (for a good reason) or “unusual” (ditto) or “collectible” (you wouldn’t want to play them), etc.

There are some absolute gems (hence the famous Gibson lawsuit) in the MiJ mid-70s onwards stuff (though still some dodgy stuff too!).  The earlier stuff is decidedly less gemmy!

Is my opinion anyways ...

It looks like a form of rosewood or cocobolo? I’m no expert mind...

I have too many guitars...said no one in the world..ever!
