Climate Change? That isn't what I see respectfully.
The first line says "Across a painted desert lies a train of vagabonds. All that's left of what we were it's all what we have become."
Vagabonds= a person who wanders from place to place without a home or job.
And then you see in the video all the peasants dragging the world leaders U.S./China with the British following them. Because there is no fuel.
The oil pipeline broken in half and the Book of Souls jet crashed.
The elite class having the time of there lives while everyone else is starving.
After Eddie kills all the bad guys, and saves Adam and Eve, He speeds away with them in the U.S. presidents car which now has fuel.
What I see is communism.
Hope this doesn't mean we cant be friends with the way the world is today.

@lizard Ok but what I see is unbridled capitalism destroying the earth because the 1% won’t change their ways. Capitalism can be a good system if it doesn't become a danger to people or the environment. But it is failing to protect that basic concept and will ultimately end in our demise. Communism is just as bad in that the people, the workers end up with nothing for doing everything. Capitalism is going the same way, look at the wealth gap between the super rich and the poor, there is becoming less and less middle class people. I think capitalism and communism are the same thing in their extremes (and that is where it’s heading) because the vast majority of people end up with nothing, while the 1% end up with everything, whilst destroying everything in the process.
The line in the song that also says “Climate change is coming“ is interesting, in the fact that masses of people still deny it due to the 1% feeding lies through a complicit media.
In terms of guitar building, I still won’t buy any wood sourced from Brazil, due to the increased destruction of the Amazon. A once great wilderness will soon become a vast wasteland like we see in this video.
When the 1% think they have everything and there is nothing left to take, civilianisation will collapse, as will the natural environment that supports us and that we have destroyed. The word civilisation describes a paper thin concept that helps prevent us all killing each other, we have structured societies. When things become too heated, that paper with tear and burn, and in those barren deserts, we will fight each other for what little remains in dwindling fascistic groups until only dust remains.
Everything could be so different but man will destroy itself unless we can grow out of this selfish adolescent stage we are in. The earth is burning and flooding all around us, it’s warning us, yet we continue.
I think this song encapsulates all of that.
I blame everything on humanity choosing to follow systems that are destructive in nature, communism, capitalism, nazism, take your pick. You can blame one system over another and say one is better than the other, but that’s just BS fed to you from being born. I think particularly in the American education system, communism is the enemy and capitalism is your god, the “American Dream”.
It’s human nature to want more, for living conditions to improve, to be able to provide for our families and live happy lives. We can do all of that in a responsible, mature, grownup way, it’s just a shame we choose not to, we continue to slave for the 1%, they are the enemy.
If we are to survive, we need to change, we need to help each other, to share resources responsibly instead of fighting for who should have it, to produce new technologies that are more sustainable and will benefit everyone, not just the fat cats.
Will we succeed or will we become the characters in the Iron Maiden video?

@lizard I stand corrected, I misheard the lyrics. It doesn’t say “climate change”, it says, “a tide of change”. It’s still in there though, our behaviour is destroying our world.
