I've not done any building this year.
I have been experimenting with some stuff though, and thinking about building.
The carve isn't right yet, but I've just been learning some new software this morning, and that's where I've got to.
"Can you see what it is yet"?

I got this CNC machine a few months ago, with all sorts of grand plans of what I'd use it for.ย Thus far, it's been pretty much exclusively non-guitar jobs.
🤔
Time to put that right.
I'm aiming to make a semi-hollowbody bandsman shape, with a 3/4 neck through and some laminated sides, flat back and carved top.ย
Been getting my head round the 3D modelling tools, and experimenting with the top carve is step1.ย I was pleased to have got this far this morning, though it's not completed and ready for the CNC machine yet.
But, progress!

Looking forward to seeing you complete this one @tv101. I thought you might be up to something along these lines.ย
It'll be a while @Russ - I've had too many other demands on my time over the past few months, and that's probably not going to change anytime soon.
"Work" may even rear its ugly head again.
But the semi-hollow Bandsman, carved top, 3/4 neck through (ie to through to the bridge posts) with laminated sides (bought a Bagpress kit a couple of months ago, still unused!) is what I'm aiming at, and vaguely planning.ย I'll probably carve a top or two first though, just to practice and refine the CNC part of the process.
Of course, once I've done one top right, I can just keep loading wood onto the machine and pressing go!
