Thats a good looking guitar

Some people call me a tool, others are less complimentary. Tools being useful things.

Nice! I like Gotoh a lot and I love low profile tuners too. I think they should be the norm, none of that 17 winds for me! 😆😆😆

@mattbeels Yeah I agree, with locking tuners being ubiquitous these days, there is no need to wind lots of each string around each post lots of times, so low profile is a no-brainier really. I love Gotoh hardware, I think it’s very good quality and reasonably priced, I’ve got a Cosmo Black bridge to match.

@boo

I’ve always liked Sperzel tuners too. Locking obviously but I really like that they don’t have a screw on the back, they locate with a pin (as you probably already knew) so they have a bit of a cleaner look.

I think Cosmo Black looks great. I used to love black hardware as a kid but once I got my second Ibanez that had Cosmo there was no lookin’ black... ba dum tis!

@mattbeels Yeah, the locking Fender ones have the pins too, they are more of a paint to fit though. I guess it’s easy if you have one of those fancy drilling guides from StewMac. I does look cleaner though, which I like also but I don’t mind using screws too. I’ve not used any Sperzel stuff yet.

Well stewmac aren’t the only ones who have it, although they have gotten expensive. I bought mine a long time ago. Check ebay or maybe reverb. Good ole G&W have one as well if you’re interested...

@mattbeels Oh cool but G&W are in Portugal aren’t they, the EU. So, it’s whether I want to take the risk of excise fees or not. 😟

Just assume that you'll pay the import duty and handling fee, and *if* you don't, then you've got a lucky saving.

@mattbeels Yeah that’s what I’m hoping but I hate things being like this, there shouldn’t be any ambiguity. Things were good as they were. I’m so angry. 😡

I know! It totally sucks for you guys, big time!

What a stupid 'idea!' (for the other 'reasons' as well)

I only occasionally ordered stuff from the UK but now I’m wondering if it’s going to be just another hassle. I’ve had good luck so far with a packge from GMUK and one from Bagpress. No hassle on either but they had low values, so... 🤷🏼‍♂️

12th fret

@russ So why on the 12th fret are there an odd number of small dots around a bigger dot? 🤔
