Some time ago I was asked to build a Tele style for a friend of a friend. He wanted specific natural wood body finish and C profile neck. It was all new to me so I asked him to buy all the hardware.
Tried Danish oil but it didn’t work well with this wood which I think is Sapele. It was a gift 30 years ago so about time it was used for something. Then I noticed Eze Oil from David Dyke Luthier Supplies which I like (not getting a fee by the way) it dries fast and doesn’t smell.
Test fitting all the metal before final wood finishing.
I like to drill the tuner holes undersize and ream them out as the bushes are a press fit and it makes them very tight. Lining up the tuners to drill pilot holes for the fixing screws.

Finished this build in January and forgot all about it as I’m waiting for the customer to return from overseas. Some random pics posted in no particular order.
Im mostly working on violin bows and haven’t done much guitar building recently.

T style neck after spraying, along with an S style. No polishing at all at this stage and after this I only hand rubbed it with polishing oil and Tripoli powder.

Osmo poly x is superb for a wipe on finish, that's my goto these days. I'll often used thinned down polyurathane though on mahogany etc, sanded in to help fill grain and also add a nice tint.
Another happy customer, called in this afternoon to collect his new build. Playing through a small battery amp.
Violin bow repair gone also so time to relax for the rest of the day.
